Abstract

Performance characteristics, advantages of application and variety of compressed air foam systems (CAFS) are given. The work describes the mathematical model of movement of gas-water mix at one-dimensional movement. The results of research of properties of foam generated by CAFS «80-40-E WATEROUS» are submitted. The comparison of time of extinguishing, number of spent fire extinguishing agents, intensity of supply of the water solution of blowing agent to extinguish model fire source of class A by foam generated by CAFS «80-40-E WATEROUS» and fire nozzle of type SVP-2 are presented.
