Abstract

Purpose. There is a necessity in universal methodology developed for assessing the stress-strain state of a fire truck construction, taking into account the factors influencing the character of the dynamic process.

Methods. The studies were carried out with a help of modern computational software complex, along with high-precision instruments and equipment with the installation of special sensors on essential places of construction for monitoring.

Findings. The developed methodology render possible to improve the technology of elements and units design of shell type. The peculiarity of this methodology is in the combined usage of the of experimental measurements and computer simulation results.

Application field of research. The supplied research results are obtained in the field of strength properties of shells and can be used in repair works for the purpose of optimization of shell construction and fixing supports for liquids containers, as well as for the design of new samples of special equipment, in particular strength elements of tank trucks for fire trucks.

Conclusions. A detailed analysis of the obtained results allows to develop constructional changes for the improvement of fire truck exploitation.
