Reliability of flight personnel as a factor of ensuring flight safety

Purpose. Identify the prerequisites for the study of the problem of pilots' polyreliability.
Methods. Theoretical analysis of the problem of human operator reliability in complex control systems.
Findings. The influence of the technocratic approach on the pilot reliability in extreme conditions is described. Some approaches to the study of human operator reliability are reflected. It is established that classical reliability definition doesn’t imply the performance of desired functions in changed conditions. The prerequisite to study the human operator polyreliability has been created.
Application field of research. The presented results can be used to further study of the problem of polyreliability of human operator in complex control systems.
