Abstract

The paper discusses the theoretical and legal aspects of combating corruption emergency bodies taking into account the analysis of current legislation and the modern development of scientific knowledge in this field in different world countries. The attention is paid to such a corruption crime as theft by abuse of power in the context of identifying possible corruption risks in the performance of official activities and their prevention. The objective necessity for the development of scientific and methodological recommendations to reduce corruption risks in order to prevent thievery by abuse of authority is indicated. For this purpose, it is proposed to identify the category of potential subjects of theft by abuse of official authority, to identify areas of activity of the emergency bodies vulnerable to corruption, to study investigative and prosecutorial practice in the field of crime qualification «thievery by abuse of official authority», and, as a result, to form effective preventive proposals in this segment activities.
