Abstract

Purpose. Scientific substantiation of raising the level of general and special physical preparedness of rescuers based on the use of exercises on sports and diagnostic complex «Athlete» (SDC «Athlete»).

Methods. The following research methods were used: analysis of special scientific and methodological literature, questionnaire survey, pedagogical observations, control and pedagogical tests, methods of statistical analysis.

Findings. There are presented regulatory requirements and the order of the exercises that are part of the developed SDK «Athlete». The pedagogical experiment was conducted, which consists in determining the effective influence of the exercises, that are included in the complex, on the level of general and special physical fitness of cadets of the University of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus. A technique has been developed for raising the level of general, special, and professional-applied physical fitness of future rescuers, based on the use of exercises by SDC «Athlete».

Application field of research. The research results can be used in the system of professional training of students and employees of security institutions of the Republic of Belarus and other states.
