Prospects for improving the management of civil defense and the State system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations

Purpose. To develop proposals on improving the efficiency of the functioning of emergency management and civil defense authorities.
Methods. General scientific research methods used: analysis, comparison and generalization.
Findings. The qualitative and quantitative composition of the emergency and civil defense management bodies at the facility level has been determined, and proposals have been developed to improve the regulatory legal acts governing their activities. A project has been developed for the contingent of structural divisions ensuring the fulfillment of tasks in the field of protecting organizations from emergency situations and civil defense, qualification requirements for specialists assigned to perform duties in the field of protecting the organization against emergency situations and civil defense.
Application field of research. The results of the study can be used when making changes and additions to regulatory legal acts regulating the procedure for creating emergency management and civil defense authorities.
